STEWARTON DRAMA GROUP

Stewarton Drama Group was formed in 1973 by a small group of people who were keen to promote drama in the community.

Every Wednesday the group meet in the Scout Hut, behind the Tennis Courts at Corsehillbank Street in Stewarton,

(with the exclusion of certain holidays).

Since they formed there have been many successes over the years both in various competitions and also in front of the local audience there has even been performances to the wider community.

Every year the group endeavours to enter the Scottish Community Drama Association One Act Festival details available at www.scda.org.uk/OneActFestivalsDiary.htm#Scottish held in February.

In addition to the this the group aim to put on two full length plays, a pantomime and an evening of One Act Plays in the Institute Hall in Stewarton.

The group are a registered charity and relies entirely on funding from grants, as well as profit from performances for the local community.
